Well over a dozen years ago, the Bushnell Elite 4200 2.5-10 x 40mm was one of the best all-around “do anything” hunting scopes on the market, and one of my personal favorites. For a very long time, there has been big gap in the market. Lots of folks want reliable, clear optics, but aren't all that keen on the $600 price point that often entails. I don't think you can do better in a tough, versatile hunting scope for under three hundred dollars today.
