FABARM ELOS N2 RS Trap New for 2024 Fabarm has taken what I feel is their best all-around clays gun, the Elos N2 RS, and decided to offer it as a dedicated trap model in three configurations: a 32 inch adjustable rib, a 34 inch Undersingle with an adjustable rib, and a combo which includes both barrel sets. The barrel sets of the N2 RS Trap cannot be mated to a standard N2 RS due to the higher 20mm rib. American Trap is the most popular clays game in the United States, due to the number of traps required (one) and the modest real estate required. American Trap is also one of the fastest growing high school sports. A bit south of here is Diamond Trap, in Diamond, Illinois, which is the only ATA-certified indoor trap range in the country: https://diamondindoortraprange.com/ . My
test example weighs just over 8-1/2 lbs., with either
barrel set.
Fabarm expended a lot of effort to get the barrel sets
to weigh the
same, so you can switch barrels without affecting swing
or balance.
The trigger is adjustable, the comb is adjustable, and
the rib is
adjustable from a 50/50 point of impact all the way to
100/0 as shown above. The
hand-oiled walnut stock is finished off with a 22mm trap
pad. Sticker price is $4355 with one barrel set, $6195
for the combo.
As you can imagine, there is no recoil factor, and this shotgun is adjustable as a shotgun can be, with a left hand stock option available as well. What impressed me the most is how perfectly balanced this gun is, and how smoothly it swings. Fabarm's adjustable point of impact rib system is robust and easy to use. I first used it several years back on the XLR5 Velocity: it worked like a charm then and it works just as described on the Elos N2 RS Trap. This model should be hitting Fabarm USA dealers right about now. More info is at https://fabarmusa.com/elos-n2-rs-trap/ . |
