Master Sergeant Kit Carson spent 44 years designing some of the best knives on the planet. His M16® knife series was named one of the Top 10 Tactical Folders of the decade by Blade Magazine. While he passed in 2014, his influence and legacy was felt far and wide. The M16® has evolved into several variants over the years; however, the one which represents the perfect folder is the M16®-02DB. How do you take an already outstanding knife and make it better? You factor in three groundbreaking innovations: the Deadbolt®, Assisted Opening, and IKBS™ ball bearing pivot system. And, to complete the “package”, he incorporated a compact tanto blade of D2 steel.

The strong and simple Deadbolt lock provides incredible strength. The blade cannot, under any circumstances “collapse” on your hand or fingers while using the knife. The Assisted Opening Flipper allows for rapid deployment of the blade, and the IKBS™ ball bearing pivot system ensures smooth deployment. Add in the D2 steel blade with its excellent edge retention and you have a perfect folder.
