I have owned and tested quite a few rimfire handguns. It would be impossible to list them all, or the loads that each preferred, but here are some examples of pistols and the load(s) that were used in each.

I have done quite a bit of rimfire load testing and most of these loads have done well in a number of handguns. I have listed the brand, type of bullet, and the velocity for all loads. The muzzle velocity (MV) for the loads listed below are taken from manufacturer's ballistics tables.

Individual handguns will often give different (sometimes surprisingly different) velocities from the same load, so the figures quoted should be viewed as approximate. Note that it is usually necessary to re-zero a pistol when changing bullet weights or brands of factory ammunition.

.22 Long Rifle
