 "There are No Guarantees in this Life" I'd hazard a guess that we have all heard that saying once or twice in our lives. It is usually said to us on the heels of a great disappointment. We desperately wanted that promotion. The loan was turned down. Your 'dreamboat' sailed away with someone else. A well meaning friend then says with resignation, "Oh well, there are no guarantees in this life." We also know all about cash flow problems; too much month and not enough paycheck. When there is nothing in your account, it doesn't matter how many checks you have. Funny how that works. What if I was to tell you that the Bible tells us clearly that the Lord wants to credit your account with incredible riches that you didn't earn? What if I also told you that there are some guarantees in this life, iron clad guarantees, guarantees from God Himself? Have you ever heard someone use the phrase, "You can take it to the bank!?" Well what I am going to share with you this morning is something that you can take to the bank. It is as if Bill Gates or Warren Buffet just transferred billions of dollars into your account and you are now able to write checks to your heart's content. I don't want for any of you to go home today without understanding what it is the Lord has already done for you. It remains for you to accept His gracious offer. Any takers? Pastor Jim |
