In my various travels my family and I have stayed in hotels and motels in many cities around the world. A few were truly memorable, most were entirely satisfactory, some I have forgotten the names of, and a few I would not recommend. The establishments listed below are not necessarily the best, or the least expensive, but I can recommend them as suitable for most travelers. Most are places I feel provided good value for the money, and a few are among the world's great hotels. Places that I particularly enjoyed are marked with an asterisk (*).
