A 126 pound Striped Marlin caught on 30 pound line by Charles Hawks (my
father) off Catalina Island on 11 September 1959. Taken on the troll
behind our family boat "Chalu," this fish took 1 hr. 52 min. to land. The
people in the photo are (from left to right): Bob Trennert (captain),
Chuck Hawks (yeah, that's me as a teen), Charles Hawks (fisherman w/rod),
Lugene Hawks (my mother).
